Chapter 1 The meeting

A transparent shield was activated issuing its first user friendly alarm the very second Gordova entered the room. Glistening in low intensity grays from top to bottom as if it were a watch dog, Gordova spoke aloud “Room entry by Gordova” in a hurried and panicked tone. A computer generated voice exclaimed “Retina verification required for entry”. The sound of motors and gears being aligned were heard, then a weapon cocked. Swearing under his breath that time was short he looked directly at the security camera above his head and barked “Gordova Caspinina number 48Z30H1”. Something was indeed very wrong today at the inter-dimensional Time travel station number 53. Horrors unspeakable were witnessed. They followed from beyond. The gasses. The stench of their bodies.

Gordova was a brave man. Graduating near the top of his class during college at MIT and as well being a solid athlete. It took everything he had to arrive here alive. “I told them never to explore new dimensions without first sending a camera probe.” He muttered into the ship’s catalog that was now available beyond the deactivated force field. He sat down in the command chair of the vestibule cockpit with a loud thump, air escaping the fluffy padding, as if the chair has be made for him. He felt his sense of security coming back.

Focusing again, a sharp pain felt in the right hand, around the base of the thumb, and the parts where the knee on the right had been torn were all secondary. After all from this chair he commands entire nebula. The biggest problem he had, was behind him. About six inches from his spine. Gasping for air, the good clean kind, he removed the shaft of steel. "Only one way" he muttered under his breath as the pain seized his eyes. He rolled a joint. “Click tap tap click” as the sound of something foreign was outside in the hall way. He activated the force field that surrounds the command center of the space craft.

The space craft had just arrived from a planetary system on the outer reaches of Orion’s arm 4 star clusters JW5 year 2040 BC. Researchers were discovering that life existed numerous times before them in other solar systems. Some advanced, some not. However different, they found most were primitive beings communicating on basic audible levels, possessing moderate technology yet non space traveling. They came here as an extension to the travels. David had suspected that life may exist here in this system.

David and Claria, both researchers on a grant from W.A.S.A. (World Aeronautics and Space Administration) head quarters in Washington DC , tracing the linage of these tribal life forms to their progression, had to be left behind. They were captured by something he never knew existed. Something Gordova feared.

In a blur, Gordova changed the view monitor to the security window, and selected the camera mounted directly outside the control room. Nothing. Click view change. Down the corridor. Nothing. Was the sound his hyped up imagination? He was very scrutinizing and his feet were always planted on the ground. He had to be sure. He loaded the sensor program into the main task list of the operating system and set the sensitivity to extremely high. “There" he said to the ship recorder “I am running a complete scan of the ship and its compartments. Something followed me aboard.” He continued his report. “David Jenkins and Claria O’Brien were captured by an unknown intelligence. I do not know their fate, but I can probably locate them with the signature pen.”

“I had to escape to get weapons. There were just too strong and too fast for us. They were controlling matter, making hills, jetties and water streams appear directly in front of our terrain vehicle. Sensors on board the vehicle as well as our site confirmed this, So it was not an illusion. I went outside when we got stuck, and in that instant the entire vehicle disappeared into a blinding light. Then I saw the most magnificent craft flying off above us. They were probably transported to the ship. I hiked five kilometers back to the landing pod and returned to our ship. Our ship is empty. All twenty thousand personnel. Gone, vanished.” He said sourly.

Computer voice “Local visual anomaly in engine compartment five”. Gordova looked at the view. He could not see anything wrong. Then a mist or deformation in light occurred. The shift in light was irregular and he could barely make out a shape. It was not human but a bipedal. Then nothing. Vanished.

Gordova had to be sure he could fly. He ordered ten sentry robots to come to the command center. While he was waiting for them to arrive, he loaded a program that could search for all missing persons by honeing on the beacon. No one had yet activated their beacon so he searched by identification tag. This means that a signal is directed to an area and the reception beam has to wait for a response. He left the computer Scanning the planetary system below which should take about two hours. The green clouded planet was stunning to look at. Regular shapes of land mass and three orbiting moons.

The sentry robot arrived outside “General” it exclaimed in a robotic low feed voice. Godova said “We are going to Engine compartment five; we have been penetrated by foreign life forms. You escort me. Our ship is under siege. Red alert.”. The robots snapped into a circular formation surrounding him. He proceeded cautiously down the stairs towards the ship’s engine deck.

Bring every known robot online under your control running logic programs that identify all known life forms. If the object, being forieng to the ship exists, dispose and exterminate. The second group will be getting the plasma engines online and operating for immediate launch. Let me know the very instant the half rockets are available for mid air take off. Let the plasma engines be set for twenty seconds after the forty cubit mid air levetation has occured.

Chapter 1 - The Foreigners

Dark mist. Damp floor. Foreign air. Water drip. David awoke. Breathing in stale air, his head spun. It was an air he knew many had died in. He was chained with some kind of biological rope. It was moist. Each time he tried to move, as if living, it seemed to grasp him harder then release. Terror slapped his lips at the site he saw. A beast so ugly and repulsive was coming towards him. Moving at a significant speed yet it seemed natural to the beast. He felt like vomiting. It drew near. Studying him with its trinocular eyes. It appeared to look right through him, inside him almost. He felt controlled. Claria was right beside him chained in a similar way. She awoke with a gasp and called out. David answered in a gasped whisper, "we're here".

The beast was speaking into some kind of translation device. Tones and language obviously alien and incomprehensible to David were being used. When it spoke into the device, a couple of seconds transpired. The beast said in a tone much lower than their voice “Earthling you are. You have been mine. You my now friend.”

"This space craft, a product of the Juneirians long ago, is remarkable in comparison to the your ship. Everything on board is controlled through sight recognition. A Large trinary based super computing power runs most of the ships automated services. This includes navigation control, mapping, communication, scheduling, engine, science exploration, weapons, and of course environmental integrity." the beast said. "My name is Meneshena, we will be your help to survive the great holocaust which is going to overtake Earth. Our civilization is going to set up a base on your planet. We will live as one people. ”

“ On this one ship there are over two hundred thousand individuals. Most have teleported weekends at home with their biological mates. Some even teleport four hundred thousand miles at a time to relay stations to get home. The Matter being transported, biological mass, can remain in non living state for four hours before disintegration occurs. The teleporters of the Juneirians are advanced, yet not fault tolerant. Over the span of the last two hundred years over ten thousand have weep fate using the technology.”

Knemisheea stated in a surprise and angry tone, “I have located the primates ship. It was quite cleverly cloaked from normal star light range view. It appears that there is a large search going on onboard. The engines are stabilizing for energy production. Weapons are located in the mass also known as the ‘wing’.” The information about Earth’s crafts was known from a previous encounter, over one hundred years ago during an excavation of the solar systems. They found that the primates were quite uncivilized. Fighting amongst themselves, killing each other, and creating large heavy machines of metal to roam about the earth and cause destruction. Destroying what another man made. The Juneirians knew the primates were very involved in territory and the term they used was called ‘war’.

To Knemisheea, logic and emotion must be involved anytime you are to interface with individuals. The most efficient route is always the best and every modern form of argument, that which beckons the physical involvement. You must deal with the biological entity itself, let nothing get in the way of your goal. On Juneria, his home planet, buildings or structures were never torn down to show disagreement and settlement, those are physical. Knemisheea, thought to himself "An eye for an eye". Typically when an entity becomes foreign within the network of minds, the Juneirians are quick to intercept the mislead. However on Earth this is not the case. Knemisheea knew this about the networks on Earth from studies long ago. The strongest ties within the mind force are located within the family unit on Earth. The Juneirians centralize on the planetary leader. It seems the hive is much clearer and cleaner that way. Argument in support of Earthlings are the centralization of the mind's eye within John Paul II, the true world leader. However there was not a large following considering statistics. And still many did not even know that the network existed.

On board the ship housing Gordovia, a mass of heat about fifteen degrees above room temperature stood as millions of micro frictionless gear sockets worked upon a steel balled sphere inside robot limbs attached to the main trunk of the unit. One group of a thousand Robots operating simultaneously at thirty miles per hour, each scanning physical space, looking for nth dimensional intrusions. A blue of sound from all objects in each compartment erupted as the team went by. Everyone’s bunk, clothes, books, tables, room space, closets, chairs, lamps, light bulbs, written materials, and desk draws were being searched for life forms.

Engines online” the engineering computer announced. “Go” and the ship was off to orbit. “Bring on board the time warp engines and the outer space plasma engines, fast.” Gordova spoke clearly, without emotion. He wanted to be sure their was no mistake when the voice recognition algorithms interpreted the voice sample, the appropriate ESIE databases would be accessed. The routines would show up at the central queue for distribution within three hundred milliseconds. Then the signal would be routed through safety artificial intelligence then propagate into limb movements for the engineering robots to perform. “General”, the remote speaker announced, “ we have located three intruders. A fourth has been identified, but it stands between time and dimensions. It will escape.” Gordova changed his mind about extermination. “If the three are not dead yet, place them into containment fields. Make absolutely sure they do not escape. Leave one hundred armed guards to ensure.” He uttered.

Once beyond the light orange atmosphere, the collection of heaven could be viewed. A breath taking view of billions of tiny dots of light, some strange formations, and most notably a nebula. Some distance, other planets within the current solar system could be viewed. The ships computers began low luminosity labeling of the details. “Engage plasma engines; navigate to the nearest jump cycle. I want no more than three jumps on the trip Earth.”

”General”, the robot exclaimed, “That will take one minute and twenty three seconds.”

Gordova, finally after the intense cycle of pressure duty, summoned the medical staff. After four seconds, a medical robot arrived. From the limbs attached, it was apparent that the robot was well prepared for just about anything.” Gordova said, “I will require reconstructive surgery, long term stitches, and the necessary pain blocking agents." The robot took a scan in multiple frequencies. They were transmitted to the control computer for detailed analysis. After eight seconds, the computer detailed the surgery. Gas was issued and Gordova was unconscious within seconds. The total surgery took a total of seventeen seconds to complete. When gordova awoke, he felt no pain.
